The Alano Sapodilla, a variety native to Thailand, is considered one of the most exceptional sapodillas globally. Its fruit is incredibly sweet, with a texture comparable to an exceptionally smooth pear. The trees are consistent, heavy producers of medium-sized fruit, typically weighing around nine ounces.
In terms of flavor, the Alano Sapodilla is top-notch, offering a taste that is highly appreciated. It’s a prolific producer, making it a great choice for those who want a steady supply of fruit. The size of the fruit is quite substantial, providing a satisfying treat.
When it comes to commercial planting, the Alano Sapodilla stands out. Its robust production and appealing flavor make it an excellent choice for mass cultivation or commercial fruit sales. However, it’s not just for commercial growers. This variety is also perfect for home planting. Despite its productivity, the tree is less brittle and has a smaller habit than other cultivars, making it suitable for backyard gardens where space might be limited.
The fruit ripens from November to June, providing a long harvest season. Whether you’re a commercial grower looking for a profitable variety or a home gardener seeking a unique and delicious fruit, the Alano Sapodilla is an excellent choice.

No Freeze Warranty: We do not guarantee plants shipped during freezing conditions. Shipping in cold weather is at the buyer’s discretion and risk.

Local (In-State) Shipments: Orders ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend. Most locations within the state receive deliveries in 1 to 2 days.
