Introducing the GA866 Jujube Tree, a unique addition to any garden or orchard. This remarkable tree, often referred to as the “Chinese date,” is known for its exceptional fruit. The fruit, which matures from mid-September to late October, is a delightful two-inch elongation that boasts an extraordinary sweetness, reminiscent of an apple’s flavor.
The GA866 Jujube Tree is a hardy specimen, thriving in USDA Zones 5-9. This makes it a versatile choice for various climates and landscapes. It’s a tree that doesn’t shy away from the cold, requiring approximately 200 chilling hours. These are the hours when the temperature dips below 45°F but stays above 32°F, a crucial factor for the tree to break dormancy and bear fruit.
One of the standout features of this tree is its partial self-fruitfulness. While it can happily pollinate with another jujube tree, it’s also capable of producing fruit on its own. This makes it a convenient and low-maintenance choice for both new and experienced gardeners.
The GA866 Jujube Tree is more than just a tree; it’s a testament to nature’s sweetness, wrapped in a hardy and resilient package. Its unique fruit, easy care, and adaptability to various climates make it a must-have for anyone looking to add a touch of sweetness to their garden or orchard. So why wait? Add the GA866 Jujube Tree to your cart today and experience the joy of growing your very own “Chinese dates.”

Winter Shipping Advisory
Cold Weather Alert: Tropical trees are highly sensitive to cold temperatures. During colder months, our greenhouses maintain warm, optimal conditions for growth, which makes plants more vulnerable to cold damage during shipping.
Recommendations: If temperatures along the shipping route are below 40°F, we recommend holding your order until it’s safe to ship. We will notify you if a delay is necessary.
No Freeze Warranty: We do not guarantee plants shipped during freezing conditions. Shipping in cold weather is at the buyer’s discretion and risk.

Local (In-State) Shipments: Orders ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend. Most locations within the state receive deliveries in 1 to 2 days.
