Hachiya Persimmon Tree – A Taste of the Orient in Your Backyard

Step into the world of exotic fruits with our Hachiya Persimmon tree. This tree, a native of Japan and a gem in the world of horticulture, was introduced to the United States in the 19th century. It’s not just a fruit-bearing tree, but also a beautiful addition to your garden with its glossy, ornamental foliage.

The Hachiya Persimmon tree is a hardy and productive tree that’s practically immune to pests and diseases. It’s self-fruitful and requires about 200 chill hours, making it suitable for USDA Zones 7-10.

The tree produces large, acorn-shaped fruits that are deep orange-red in color. These fruits require a hot summer and a long growing season to mature. But the wait is worth it! When soft-ripe, the fruits lose their astringency and reveal a sweet, honey-like flavor that’s reminiscent of brown sugar.

One unique feature of the Hachiya Persimmon is that the mature fruits can be frozen and thawed to ripen. Alternatively, you can let nature take its course and leave the fruits on the tree to ripen naturally around Thanksgiving.

The Hachiya Persimmon is not just a treat for the taste buds but also a powerhouse of nutrition. It’s high in vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, beta-carotene, and magnesium.

So why wait? Add a touch of the uniqueness to your garden with our Hachiya Persimmon tree and enjoy the unique taste of its fruits right at home. Order now and embark on a journey of exotic flavors!

Winter Shipping Advisory
Cold Weather Alert: Tropical trees are highly sensitive to cold temperatures. During colder months, our greenhouses maintain warm, optimal conditions for growth, which makes plants more vulnerable to cold damage during shipping.
Recommendations: If temperatures along the shipping route are below 40°F, we recommend holding your order until it’s safe to ship. We will notify you if a delay is necessary.
No Freeze Warranty: We do not guarantee plants shipped during freezing conditions. Shipping in cold weather is at the buyer’s discretion and risk.

Local (In-State) Shipments: Orders ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend. Most locations within the state receive deliveries in 1 to 2 days.
