Introducing the Karen Michelle Mango, a unique and delightful addition to any garden. This variety, a product of the renowned breeding program of Gary Zill in Boynton Beach, Florida, is a derivative of the Edward mango, known for its classic flavor and quality.

The Karen Michelle Mango stands out with its large, ovoid fruits that ripen to a beautiful yellow hue. The flesh is medium-firm, completely devoid of fiber, and boasts a rich, sweet flavor that surpasses even its Edward parent. This extra touch of sweetness has made it a favorite among mango connoisseurs.

While the Karen Michelle Mango may not be the most prolific producer, the quality of its fruits more than compensates for this. Each fruit weighs between 0.5 to 1.5 lbs, making it a substantial and satisfying treat. The tree itself, with prudent pruning, can reach a medium height of 10-15 feet.

The Karen Michelle Mango is an early-season variety, typically bearing fruit from May to June. It also shows resistance to mango bacterial black spot, adding to its appeal. However, due to the medium size of the fruits, it is not recommended for long-term container growth.

In summary, the Karen Michelle Mango offers a unique blend of quality, flavor, and beauty. Its fruits are a testament to the careful breeding that brought this variety to life. Despite being a lighter producer, the high-quality, sweet, and fiberless fruits make it a worthy addition to any plant nursery. Add the Karen Michelle Mango to your collection and enjoy the rich, sweet flavors of this remarkable variety.
