Dwarf Key Lime – Tart, Tropical, and Patio-Perfect

Bring the zing of the tropics right to your backyard with the Dwarf Key Lime Tree, also known as the Mexican Lime. This compact evergreen is a heavy producer of small, aromatic, and intensely flavorful limes, perfect for pies, cocktails, marinades, and more. Grafted onto dwarf rootstock, it stays at a manageable size for containers, patios, or small gardens.

Why Grow Dwarf Key Lime?

  • Fruit: Small (1.5–2 inch), thin-skinned, turns yellow when fully ripe

  • Flavor: Juicy, tart, and highly aromatic — ideal for culinary use

  • Tree Size: Naturally small, rarely exceeds 6–8 feet on dwarf rootstock

  • Thorns: Slender branches with short to medium thorns

  • Foliage: Glossy dark green, dense, and lush

  • Harvest: Nearly year-round, with peak season in early summer (South FL) or late summer (further north)

  • Seeds: 10–15 per fruit

Growing Tips

  • Climate: Best in warm, frost-free zones (9–11)

  • Cold Sensitivity: Protect from temps below 29°F

  • Container-Friendly: Grows beautifully in pots and can be moved indoors during cold snaps

  • Sun: Full sun is key to fruit production and tree health

Whether you’re crafting the perfect Key Lime pie or just love the bold citrus aroma in your garden, the Dwarf Key Lime Tree delivers on charm, flavor, and productivity — all in a compact, manageable size.

SHIPPING
Carriers and Services
We ship all orders via UPS, offering Standard, Expedited, and Overnight services. Shipping costs and delivery times depend on your location and the selected service.
Winter Shipping Advisory
Cold Weather Alert: Tropical trees are highly sensitive to cold temperatures. During colder months, our greenhouses maintain warm, optimal conditions for growth, which makes plants more vulnerable to cold damage during shipping.
Recommendations: If temperatures along the shipping route are below 40°F, we recommend holding your order until it’s safe to ship. We will notify you if a delay is necessary.
No Freeze Warranty: We do not guarantee plants shipped during freezing conditions. Shipping in cold weather is at the buyer’s discretion and risk.
Shipping Schedule
Local (In-State) Shipments: Orders ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend. Most locations within the state receive deliveries in 1 to 2 days.
Out-of-State Shipments: Orders ship primarily on Monday and Tuesday to avoid weekend delays.
