Kiew Yai Mango Tree

Experience the allure of the Kiew Yai Mango, a Taiwanese gem that’s a feast for the senses. This tree, also known as Jin Huang, is a crossbreed of the ‘Ivory’ and ‘Keitt’ varieties, resulting in a fruit that’s as large as it is beautiful.

The Kiew Yai Mango is a sight to behold, with its oblong-sigmoid shape and a vibrant palette that ranges from a deep green to a brilliant yellow-orange. The fruit’s exterior may exhibit a subtle pinkish blush when exposed to the sun, adding to its visual appeal. The size of the fruit is impressive, often weighing several pounds.

Beneath the skin, you’ll find firm, fiberless, and yellow flesh that’s a delight to the palate. The flavor profile is reminiscent of traditional Thai mangoes, offering a perfect balance of sweetness, floral notes, and a hint of honey.

The Kiew Yai Mango tree is a moderately vigorous grower, boasting a dense, vertical canopy. Its foliage is similar to the Keitt variety, but with superior resistance to anthracnose, a common fungal disease in mango trees.

This tree is a mid-season variety, typically maturing its fruits from August to September. So, if you’re seeking a unique addition to your garden that combines size, beauty, and flavor, the Kiew Yai Mango tree could be the perfect choice. Enjoy the taste of Taiwan right in your backyard!
