The Macadamia Nut Tree, scientifically known as Macadamia integrifolia, is a majestic tree that hails from the lush rainforests of Australia. With an average height and width of 20 feet, it’s a compact yet robust addition to any garden, especially those in tropical or subtropical climates.
This tree is renowned for its precious produce – the Macadamia nut. These nuts are considered a luxury, known for their rich flavor and hard-to-crack shell. They’re a favorite in both baking and gourmet dishes, and can also be enjoyed fresh or roasted. Despite their small size, about the same as a quarter, their taste and quality are unparalleled.
The Macadamia Nut Tree is a hardy species, withstanding temperatures as low as 27°F. It’s a long-living tree, with some specimens in Hawaii still bearing fruit after more than a century. Its deep taproot and sparse lateral roots allow for close spacing, making it an ideal choice for commercial cultivation.
These trees bear fruit from September to December, providing a bountiful harvest just in time for the holiday season.
Not only is the Macadamia Nut Tree a source of delicious and nutritious nuts, but it also serves multiple purposes. It provides shade, adds ornamental value to landscapes, and its oil is used in cosmetics. It’s a tree that truly offers a blend of beauty and utility.
Whether you’re a home gardener or a commercial grower, the Macadamia Nut Tree is a valuable addition to your landscape. Its resilience, productivity, and multi-purpose nature make it a worthy investment. Experience the joy of growing your own Macadamia nuts and enjoy the rich, buttery flavor that only home-grown nuts can offer.

No Freeze Warranty: We do not guarantee plants shipped during freezing conditions. Shipping in cold weather is at the buyer’s discretion and risk.
