The Makok Sapodilla is a long, pointed fruit that is considered one of the best-tasting varieties in the world. Originating from Thailand, it has recently been introduced to Florida. The Makok Sapodilla is an excellent choice for homeowners due to its small, compact growth habit, making it perfect for limited spaces. The pulp of the fruit is smooth and brown, exuding a sweet aroma. The fruit ripens from May to November.

In terms of flavor, the Makok Sapodilla is highly rated, offering a delightful taste experience. Its production is moderate, yielding a reasonable amount of fruit each season. The size of the fruit is smaller compared to other varieties, but it still provides a delightful treat.

As for commercial planting, the Makok Sapodilla has a fair performance. While it may not be the first choice for large-scale cultivation, it can still be considered for commercial fruit sales due to its excellent flavor. However, where this variety truly shines is in home planting. Its compact growth habit makes it an ideal choice for backyard gardens, especially in areas where space is limited. Whether you’re a homeowner looking for a unique and delicious fruit or a commercial grower seeking a variety with a distinct flavor, the Makok Sapodilla is a great option to consider.
