The Meyer Lemon Tree is a beloved hybrid of lemon and sweet orange, originally introduced to the U.S. from China in 1908 by USDA explorer Frank Meyer. Grafted onto dwarf rootstock, this compact tree delivers fragrant blooms, glossy foliage, and vibrant fruit — all in a size perfect for patios, containers, and small gardens.
Flavor: Sweeter and less acidic than traditional lemons — perfect for cooking, baking, or cocktails
Size: Stays compact (4–6 ft in pots) on dwarf rootstock, ideal for patios or indoors
Harvest Season: Main crop from November to March, with occasional off-season fruit
Fruit: Thin-skinned, orange-yellow, with 2–10 seeds per fruit
Self-Pollinating: No second tree needed for fruit set
Cold Hardy: The most cold-tolerant lemon variety, suitable for zones 8–11
Lush, evergreen foliage and fragrant white blossoms offer year-round beauty
Perfect for container gardening, and can be overwintered indoors in colder climates
Easy to grow, making it a great choice for beginners and seasoned citrus lovers alike
If you’re looking for a citrus tree that’s easy, compact, and incredibly rewarding, the Meyer Lemon (Dwarf) is a must-have. Add one to your garden and enjoy the bright taste of homegrown lemons all winter long.

Winter Shipping Advisory
Cold Weather Alert: Tropical trees are highly sensitive to cold temperatures. During colder months, our greenhouses maintain warm, optimal conditions for growth, which makes plants more vulnerable to cold damage during shipping.
Recommendations: If temperatures along the shipping route are below 40°F, we recommend holding your order until it’s safe to ship. We will notify you if a delay is necessary.
No Freeze Warranty: We do not guarantee plants shipped during freezing conditions. Shipping in cold weather is at the buyer’s discretion and risk.
Shipping Schedule
Local (In-State) Shipments: Orders ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend. Most locations within the state receive deliveries in 1 to 2 days.
Out-of-State Shipments: Orders ship primarily on Monday and Tuesday to avoid weekend delays.
