Triple Sec Mango Tree

Experience the allure of our Triple Sec Mango Tree, a superior variety that originated as an Edward seedling. This tree is a testament to the innovative breeding program of Gary Zill in Boynton Beach, Florida. Its name, ‘Triple Sec’, is a nod to its enticing citrus-like flavor that mirrors the famous orange liqueur.

The Triple Sec Mango Tree is a vigorous grower, boasting a dense, spreading canopy. It’s a tree that matures with grace, initially producing a high number of male flowers, but as it ages, it yields more female flowers, leading to an impressive fruit production.

The fruit itself is a sight to behold. Medium in size, it ripens to a brilliant yellow hue that is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. The flesh is fiberless, rich, and sweet, with a unique blend of citrus notes and a hint of spice. What sets the Triple Sec Mango apart is its excellent shelf life and its resistance to overripening, a trait not commonly found in most mango varieties.

In terms of disease resistance, the Triple Sec Mango Tree stands strong. It shows remarkable resistance to anthracnose and mango bacterial black spot. However, it’s worth noting that its flowers can be prone to powdery mildew.

This mid-season variety is more than just a fruit tree; it’s a testament to the beauty of nature and the joy of gardening. Bring home the Triple Sec Mango Tree and savor the taste of its luscious fruit right from your backyard. Available now at South Eden Edible Nursery. Enjoy the flavor of sunshine in every bite!
